NAMM  -  Anaheim, California

Me at the DC California Drums/Soultone Cymbals booth

My second year at the NAMM show in Anaheim was even better than the first.  Again, thanks to Pat and Dave of QwikStix for inviting me to join them in California.  My other half, Roxy and I had a blast! I always have a great time with you guys!.  Thanks for the traditional "Crown".  It made us all warm and fuzzy!   They just don't make them like Pat and Dave anymore folks.  As a QwikStix endorser, I am very proud to say that I am associated with such great people.  Thanks a lot guys.

We were welcomed with open arms by friends both old and new.   We hung out with the folks from Derringer Endorsees Knucklehead Strings, Parker Guitars, Randall Amps and Levy's Leathers.  Too bad Danica couldn't be there.  See you next time!

I would also like to thank Marco Soccoli from Vic Firth Drumsticks for another very interesting experience.  Where do you get all that energy!!!  Thanks for everything you and your company have done for me so far.  You made me feel right at home at the Vic Firth booth.  Your professionalism was by far above and beyond not only for myself and the other Vic Firth artists, but for everybody you came in contact at the NAMM show.  Rock on brother.  Thanks to Mike Hoff and all of the other folks I met at the Vic Firth Booth.  worth it.

After the show on Friday, Rox and I attended the Sabian party where we hung out with some of our new friends John Blackwell of Prince, Vinnie Appice of Black Sabbath,  Drummer Dennis chambers and many others.  By far the coolest person we met was Brendon Buckley.  Brendon, who plays for world famous Latin artist Shakira was one word..."Real".  We enjoyed the time we spent with you and are looking forward to hanging out again.  By the way... where the hell did you go???  You can learn more about Brendon at his web site.     At the Summer NAMM show in Nashville, I met two very wonderful people, Lynn and Ed of E-Pad!.  At the 05 Anaheim show, they treated us like family.  Not only am I proud to be a E-Pad! endorser, but I am proud to call Ed and Lynn friends.  To learn more about the VERY best practice pads for drummers, CLICK HERE

Last, but definitely not least, I would like to thank Iki and the crew from DC California Drums and Soultone Cymbals.  I discovered these very high quality drums and cymbals at the 04 NAMM show.  Since then, not only did I choose these fine companies to endorse, but I have become close friends with some of the most genuine people in the industry.  The folks at DC California Drums and Soultone Cymbals not only produce the best products that can be found in the percussion world, but they pay particular attention to their artists.  Check out these shots from their NAMM booth:

Over the past couple of years, I have met some of my personal  heroes of the drum and percussion world and made some new lifetime friends.   Below are a few pictures of just some of these great people.  Check em out!
